Help Us Kick Off a New Initiative

Over the last 10 years, participation in high school football has declined by about 10%. To address this, the NFHS has partnered with the NFL to promote the lasting benefits that high school football has on students for the rest of their lives.

We have three goals:

  1. Promote the value of participating in football in middle school and high school.
  2. Improve the perception of football at the middle school and high school levels.
  3. Restore confidence that the sport is more focused on safety and risk minimization than ever before.

That’s why we’ve developed a series of weekly social media posts to encourage more teens to participate in this amazing sport.

Here’s how you can help: Every Friday for the next six weeks, we'll post a new social media message to share with your Facebook and Twitter followers. All you have to do to post these messages is click the buttons below! It’s that simple!

Please join us in doing everything we can to celebrate this essential team sport for decades to come. The more we share together, the louder our message will be heard!

Thank you for supporting the NFHS #ThisIsHSFootball Campaign!

football is all about

Here’s a fact not many people talk about: the most talented 14-year-old football players rarely make it to the pros. Since student-athletes grow and develop at different rates, talent at a young age is never a guarantee for long-term success.

Football isn’t just for star athletes.
